Building on the evidence-based iRAP Global Standard for Risk Mapping and Star Rating that is specified by UN Member States and used in over 100 countries worldwide, ViaSofia connects corporates and communities with the wisdom of road infrastructure data.
All data is collected to the same global standard, allowing harmonised data insights that can:
- improve the health and safety of your staff and fleets,
- allow a location-based understanding of built-in risk across an area to help price insurance products and innovative new Pay as you Go insurance and mobility products
- support corporate HSE Managers and mapping companies with the safest route guidance and identification of high-risk locations along a journey
The UN Sustainable Development Goal 3.6 is to halve road deaths and injuries by 2030. The iRAP Star Rating has been adopted as part of the UN Global Plan with the aim to ensure at least 75% of travel is on 3-star or better roads for all road users by 2030.
New partnerships are needed to scale the frequency and coverage of road infrastructure data so companies can better manage risk and road agencies can better target investment to eliminate high-risk roads.
ViaSofia aims to bring together the partners who can make that happen.
